The 14th ASEF ClassNet Conference will take place from 27th to 30th of November 2018 in Helsinki & Espoo, Finland, and focuses on the theme “Gender Equality Reprogramming STEM Education”. This conference will bring together about 100 secondary, vocational and high school teachers and educators from up to 51 Asian and European countries to explore and share good practices on the field of gender equality and STEM education, as well as its possible impact on the society.

The Agrupamento de Escolas de Sátão and St. Mark’s Girls Senior Secondary School are the coordinators of “Teens in Action for Change”, an online collaboration that will gather Asian and European schools interested in joining efforts to support the Global Goals for Sustainable Development. The project will start on the 6th of January and will take action by joining and participating in National and Global campaigns and initiatives within the vision of a Human Rights based approach and the Paris agreement on climate change. ASEF Unplugged is an event series that gathers smaller groups of cultural professionals from Asia and Europe for collective conversations on arts, culture and heritage. ASEF’s Culture Department is inviting Expressions of Interest from arts and culture organisations, cultural networks and government agencies to co-organise a session of ASEF Unplugged. The partner organisations will get to know the trends, analysis and information on Asia-Europe cultural co-operation and have access to leading voices from the arts and culture sector.

The 3rd ASEF Young Leaders Summit (ASEFYLS3) is dedicated to the topic of Ethical Leadership and it will take place in Brussels, Belgium, from the 15th to 19th of September. This programme aims to understand, define and develop leadership among young people – by young people. The forum investigates 3 critical levels of leadership: social, team and societal. These 3 levels are at the core of the conversations, action-planning, learning experiences and networking of ASEFYLS3. Under the theme "Sustainable Tourism: Youth Driving Green Growth", this summer university consists of a mix of practical team exercises, thought-provoking lectures, group research and experiential learning.
